Just a quick reminder that our AGM is this week starting at 10:15...Badminton as usual from 9PM.

Summer BBQ on Saturday 30th September

Nigel would like to invite everyone to the Nomads barbeque at his house in Petersfield, on Saturday 30th September at 12.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Children and partners are welcome. The event will be similar too last year.

We will have a barbeque with the usual meats burgers, sausages, etc, salads and bananas with chocolate to follow.

If the weather is fine there will be table tennis, croquet, a trampoline (parents to supervise) and other games. If the weather is poor then we can run board games/cards inside. We can cater for a good number inside. The food will be the same.

Proceeds will go to my wife’s charity the Motor Neurone Disease. Prices will be £8 for adults and £4 for children under 12.

We look forward to seeing a large number of people on the day.

Xmas Break

Badminton as normal this week. However, there will not be any badminton on the 28th December, due to the hall being prepaired for exams in January. The 1st two weeks in January the Wednesday sessions will be held at the Taro Centre in Petersfield from 9PM - 10:20PM.

Xmas Meal

On the 14th December we our having our Xmas meal at Fork Handles in Petersfield. Please arrive around 7PM for pre-dinner dinner drinks. The meal is being served at 7:30PM... Don't be late! For those who are not attending the meal, there is no badminton this week, and we hope to see you all the following week... it would be especially nice to see those who haven't attended for a while.

Due to exam being held in Bedales sports hall... At present there is no hall booked for the 18th May. Badminton will be held at the Taro centre from 9pm starting from the 25th May until 22nd June. We will return to Bedales on 29th June.

Bedale's Sports Hall will be unavailable from 13th May to 24th June inclusive. During this period of 7 weeks we will continue playing at the Taro Centre Petersfield (times to be confirmed and you will be informed either by email or by looking here). The 6th of May will be our last evening at Bedales and we return on 1st July.

Just a reminder Wednesday week 3rd December there will be no badminton as it is the Annual Nomads Dinner at the 7 Stars. Also there will be no badminton Christmas Eve 24th Dec and New Years Eve 31st Dec. Normal service will resume on Wednesday 7th January 2015.

NO PARKING AT THE SPORTS HALL

As most of you are now aware, the powers that be at Bedales School have set new rules regarding vehicles going through the school grounds. The committee has decided that it is in our interests not to upset the apple cart and adhere to Bedales request of parking in the top car park, which can be found by taking the first right turn about 30-40 meters inside Bedales grounds. Follow the road to the bottom where there is plenty of parking available.

The Annual General Meeting of The Nomads Badminton Club will be held in the Sports Hall of Bedales School at 9.00pm on Wednesday the 28th August 2013. We will play badminton as usual on completion of the AGM.

Please note the Annual fees are due on the 28th August.

Our last play at Bedales due to the exam period will be 1st May and restart 3rd July. We will continue playing badminton at the Taro Centre at 9 p.m.-10.20 p.m. each Wednesday. 8th May -26th June inclusive.

Bad news I am afraid, we will HAVE to go to the Taro centre on the 6th April now, as Bedales are going to do their mock exams in the Sports Hall. This coming Wednesday is our last time playing there until the 6th July.
